Covid-19: Sustainability initiative taken by CYCLO

Visits: 40

In the last few months CORONA, COVID, and CRISIS have consumed most aspects of our lives. After shuttering our plant for five weeks and making every effort to ensure the safety of our workers, we are now back in full production.

Sustainability and the environment have come out as the only winners in these difficult times. While the air is cleaner and the birds are chirping again, we are becoming more aware of the waste we create.

It is time to adopt greener and cleaner living more than ever. It is our collective responsibility to commit to sustainability, not because it’s fashionable and trendy, but because we can actually see what a difference it makes.

At CYCLO–which is GRS certified, a member of the Sustainable Apparel Coalition (SAC) and is working with HIGG index–we continue to lead the path for providing the most sustainable yarns at competitive costs.

Despite increasing unemployment, decreasing spending, and plummeting sales in textile and apparel spelling doom for the industry, we at CYCLO:

  • Expanded our capacity
  • Increased our product offering by collaborating with Tencel, EcoVero and Reprieve.
  • Commenced our partnership with leading retailers on implementing their “close the loop programs” and supporting a Green Recovery Initiative.
  • Are partnering with companies to ensure our traceability.
  • Continue to find partners in other regions who believe in the CYCLO process, in order to offer our customers the trust of the CYCLO brand in other yarn producing countries.

We would like to thank all our partners, retailers, and brands everywhere who believed in the CYCLO vision and for making it the most recognizable recycle fiber and yarn.
