Dior Says Vibrant Eye Makeup Is About to Have a Moment

Dior has a green thumb this season—or perhaps a green eye. In Jonathan Anderson’s second haute couture collection as Dior’s creative director, a delightful pop of green is to be expected. Anderson is no stranger to incorporating nature and verdant tones into his designs.

Who could forget the long emerald fringed handbag that opened Dior’s spring haute couture runway or the lily pad sandals from Anderson’s debut fall/winter 2026 collection that went viral earlier this year? This season, Anderson and Dior’s creative and image director of makeup, Peter Philips, once again brought a shared love of nature to the forefront of the fall/winter 2026 haute couture makeup look as models walked along a palm-tree-covered path in the Musée Rodin in Paris. With smooth natural skin and vibrant glittering eyelids, Dior’s makeup is going green.

Homing in on the grassy colour palette was a simple process for Philips, though it wasn’t necessarily planned. Following a busy few weeks after the Dior Men’s spring 2027 collection at the end of June, there wasn’t much time for Anderson and Philips to get into the weeds about planning the haute couture makeup look—pun intended. In fact, the first time they discussed the glam was during fittings for the show only a week prior. “I just knew that there were going to be lots of metallics and greens in the collection and that the models would be walking through a garden,” Philips says.

Taking inspiration from the rhinestone eyeliner look he created for the 2026 Dior cruise show, Philips decided to debut a selection of glittering green eyeliners and eye shadows from Dior Makeup’s upcoming “Lucky Clover” fall collection (hitting shelves August 15) to create a vibrant eye look. “When spring comes and the greens start coming in, it transforms my mood,” Philips continues. “It’s such a positive colour because it represents a new chapter and beginnings. It’s magical.”

This sense of ease and calm that is associated with the serene colour was central to Philips’s approach to the makeup look, in keeping with Anderson’s vision of the Dior woman—cool, effortlessly beautiful, and one with the natural world. In this vein, Philips kept the rest of the makeup simple. Using the Dior Prestige skin care products, he prepped the skin with the Dior Prestige Micro-Brume de Rose and Dior Prestige La Crème for a refreshing and hydrating base before going in with thin layers of the Dior Forever Skin Glow Foundation to even skin tone. He added a hint of colour on the cheeks and finished with the Dior Backstage Glassy Glow Stick 017 Glossy Jelly on the high points of the face to catch the light as models moved down the runway. The lips were then lightly brushed with the Dior Addict Lip Maximizer in 001 Pink.

The green metallic colour story continued onto the manicure as models wore a shimmering polish to match the eye shadow look. Hairstylist Guido Palau rounded out the beauty look, leaving each model’s hair natural and free-flowing. As the glam all came together, it seemed almost as if we’d been transported to an enchanted garden. And what better way to look at a garden than with sparkling green eyes?
