As the floral artist behind Meta Flora’s striking arrangements, Marisa Competello, who recently put the finishing touches on a candle duo dreamt up during the early days of quarantine, is well accustomed to working with her hands. The only downside? Her skin often takes a beating. Which is why when the self-described product “loyalist” first began pairing the likes of anthuriums and metallic leaves just over six years ago, she sought out a heavy-duty moisturizer that could join her stable of standbys (Kiehl’s musk-scented eau de toilette and NARS’s fiery orange-red Heat Wave lipstick are on heavy rotation).
