THE RUNDOWN
- Big Brother Australia 2026 has premiered on Network 10 and has introduced 14 new housemates.
- The new cast includes two secret siblings along with family members of Big Brother alumni.
- In 2026, Big Brother has moved from Dreamworld on the Gold Coast to Screen Queensland Studios in Brisbane.
- This year the 24/7 live stream is back and can be watched on 10 Play.
The doors to the Big Brother Australia 2026 house have officially swung open, and the brand-new cast is already bringing the drama. Returning to Network 10, reality TV’s ultimate social experiment has dropped 14 new housemates into a custom-built, 80-camera compound at Screen Queensland Studios in Brisbane.
On premiere night, returning host Mel Tracina and the iconic voice of Mike Goldman revealed that the much-hyped house had been stripped of beds, running water, and even a Diary Room chair. Nothing says “welcome to reality TV” quite like forcing aspiring influencers to sleep on the floor.
So who are the housemates hoping to survive the gruelling challenges and ruthless social politics to win our hearts — and a $100,000 cash payout? From a secret sibling duo to soon-to-be villain Ebony and viral content creator Austin, these hopefuls are ready to scheme their way to the top.

Following a massive 2025 reboot that saw fan-favourite Coco Beeby crowned winner, this season promises just as much chaos. Ahead of the premiere, host Mel Tracina told Pedestrian.TV she already has an inkling about who might take home the prize.
“I feel like I already know who could win. Just based on, I want to say likability, but also probably layers,” she told Pedestrian TV. “When you have an audition tape, you can find out a little bit more about someone… But when they enter the house, it might be something that slowly comes out as the time progresses.”
With that in mind, let’s meet the 14 new faces headed to the Big Brother house.

Austin

- Age: 22
- Job: Carpenter and content creator
- State: Queensland
- Instagram: @austinhendry and @olivstin
A 22-year-old chippy, Austin works alongside his father and brother in their family business. But as with so many men, he’s actually a content creator with a healthy TikTok following, keeping with the younger skew of the Big Brother household this season. Austin has over 300k followers on his “OlivStin” TikTok, where he makes comedy skits with his friend Oliver Massey.
He has also been romantically linked to women’s world number one surfer, Molly Picklum. Outside of work (and feeding the algorithm), Austin is a keen surfer who loves spending time at the pub.
“When I’m not on the tools, I’m pretty much always in the ocean,” he says. “I am single. There’s no shortage of women in my life, but there is a shortage of good ones.”
We’re sure this will go down well with anyone tuning in to see their situationship on national television. But as Austin notes: “You never know, Big Brother might hook me up.”
Ryan

- Age: 27
- Job: Garden Centre Manager
- State: NSW
- Instagram: @ryan.macri
A garden centre manager with a heart of gold, Ryan has been joined in the Big Brother house by his sister, Tahlia. But here’s the twist: they are keeping their sibling relationship a total secret from the other contestants (is this The Traitors?).
Proudly gay, the Australian-Italian has a big personality, a rat’s tail he is deeply proud of, and a major soft spot for his Nonna and Britain’s Got Talent winner Susan Boyle. We all have our passions.
“There’s nobody quite like me darl!” he says. “I want to come to the house and show my complete self. I’ve got a big personality and an even bigger heart.”
Ebony

- Age: 23
- Job: ‘Entrepreneur’
“Nobody tells me no. I don’t do chores, I don’t clean, I’ve never had to vacuum, feels like peasant work—why would I do that?”
She sounds like a nightmare Inner West housemate post come to life. Shockingly, the 23-year-old entrepreneur has never been kissed and never been on a date, although she insists “they’ve tried.”
“Nobody matches my standard, I feel like everybody is beneath me,” she says.
Ebony plans to pretend she’s in a luxury resort, declaring: “I’m not coming to Big Brother to make friends, I’m coming here to dominate.”
Given the show is, internally and externally, a literal popularity contest, Ebony may encounter some strategic issues. But since she’s clearly established herself as the series villain to rival Miranda from Farmer Wants a Wife, network producers will likely do what they can to keep her on the screen.
Tahlia

- Age: 25
- Job: Support worker/Horticulture
- State: Victoria
- Instagram: @tahliamacri
Tahlia is the other half of the deceitful sibling duo! She works as a support worker and in horticulture, and feels her experience will give her an advantage as she loves connecting with people from different backgrounds. Her dry sense of humour and ingratiating way with strangers is sure to make her popular in the house. “Always up for an adventure, always down to have a good time,” she says. “I can be a little bit clueless at times but I definitely have enough street-smarts to get me by, don’t underestimate me.”
Phoebe

- Age: 26
- Job: Entertainer/Bunnings team member
- State: Queensland
- Instagram: @pheobejoy.ce
Phoebe has worked at Bunnings for 11 years, but her ambitions extend beyond Australia’s best sausage sizzle. A former musical theatre nerd, the 26-year-old entertainer is the self-appointed court jester of the Big Brother house. Obsessed with ABBA, she loves breaking into song and dance and, possibly because of this, hasn’t had much luck in love. “I am a little love bug, I have really bad luck with boys… I stick my neck out for love and they just chop it off,” saying she’s left feeling used by men.
Will she be one of the inevitable housemates who couples up in the house? It remains to be seen, but with a captive audience, she’ll be in her element.
Pam

- Age: 62
- Job: Teacher
- State: South Australia
The elder stateswoman of the house, 62-year-old teacher Pam, is highly competitive and determined to prove age isn’t a barrier to winning. She is also the mother of former Big Brother housemate Kieran Davidson (a reverse nepo baby, perhaps?).
“I’m here to play the long game and I definitely have a strategy,” she says.
Pam plans to quickly develop friendships with people she can trust to build her alliances. She also admits she can cry on cue, which she notes “might be a good strategy.”
Sadly for the younger contestants, as the self-appointed mum of the house, she has already declared she won’t be allowing a “dancing doona.”
Harmen

- Age: 29
- Job: IT Salesman/former Cryptocurrency miner
- State: Queensland
- Instagram: @1xharmon
Harmen says he loves to push people’s buttons, “and I’ve got enough charm to get away with it.” Raised in a strict immigrant household, the IT salesman and former crypto miner is a self-described professional pot-stirrer.
“Real life doesn’t rattle me,” he says.
He admits he is a major prankster whose idea of fun includes flaming his buddies with fire extinguishers while they’re on the toilet. We’re not entirely sure how that level of chaos will go down with his new Big Brother housemates.
Matty

- Age: 39
- Job: Mining Engineer
- State: Western Australia
Matty describes himself as a “textbook Aussie bogan,” but he is hiding a sharp mind behind his relaxed demeanour. Armed with a Mining Engineering degree and an MBA, the father of two young children prides himself on being loyal with a good sense of humour.
However, Matty thinks being a “typical Aussie bloke” will probably get him in trouble in the house given the “bloody woke world we live in.” He also admits that if he’s “had a few sherbits” (drinks), he may get involved in some bitchy behaviour.
“I’m a very disadvantaged species, the white straight male,” he claims. Okidoki.
Heath

- Age: 23
- Job: Engineering Student
- State: Queensland
Heath is, by his own admission, “not a basic Gold Coast boy.” Described as a golden retriever in human form with a ticking strategic mind, the 23-year-old engineering student has a passion for sewing. He even constructed his impressive opening night shirt from a repurposed tea towel and an op-shop find.
Beyond the sewing machine, he is the frontman of a band formed with his best mate after they both went through heartbreak. True to his Pisces nature, he is a sensitive soul and a distinctly snappy dresser — we really appreciate the smart styling of those loafers.
Matthew

- Age: 37
- Job: Property Investor
- State: Victoria
Matthew is a 37-year-old property investor, but he feels his best assets in the Big Brother house will be his big personality and his skills in rapping and breakdancing. He describes himself as a “confident chameleon” and an alpha whose hobbies include ju-jitsu, DJing, and “psychology.”
He says he’s “fearless” and adds: “If someone says I can’t do something, even if I don’t want to do it, I’ll end up doing it.”
Case in point: one of his friends said he could never play an instrument, so he spent six months learning the saxophone just to prove them wrong. With an eclectic skillset like that, we’re sure he will bring an interesting vibe to the house.
Marshy (Andrew)

- Age: 24
- Job: Forklift Salesman
- State: South Australia
- Instagram: @andrew_marschall
Toyota’s reigning forklift salesman in Australia has his sights set on Big Brother’s $100,000 cash prize. An AFL lover, 24-year-old Andrew (better known as Marshy) has an eye for the ladies and describes himself as the “Italian Jason Momoa” (modest, too!). He’s bringing an expanding collection of budgie smugglers and plenty of confidence to the competition. Perhaps a suitor for Phoebe?
Kyrah

- Age: 25
- Job: Secondary School English and Drama Teacher
- State: New South Wales
- Instagram: @kyrahbrockfenton
The very first contestant to enter the house, 25-year-old Drama and English teacher Kyrah is used to talking people’s ears off and is newly single following a five-year relationship (we always think going on national television is the best way to cope with a split). She has a great mind for random facts, which could come in handy in any trivia challenges.
Charity

- Age: 29
- Job: Field Manager
- State: New South Wales
“I’m Charity and I’m the boss.” The 29-year-old field manager came to Australia in 2004 as a refugee. As one of 13 kids, she definitely knows how to navigate the dynamics of a crowded sharehouse.
“Greedy housemates will probably annoy me because I come from nothing and I can’t stand people who don’t know how to share,” she says.
Raised Christian, Charity lives her life by the three Fs: family, faith, and fun. She says she will bring those strong morals and values to the game, but plans to bring plenty of “good vibes” to the house as well.
Anita

- Age: 47
- Job: Travel Advisor
- State: Tasmania
Anita says whatever comes to her mind, comparing herself to Alyson Hannigan’s Michelle Flaherty in American Pie. She admits this lack of a filter happens most often on dates, noting, “I do see men running out the door a bit,” but she doesn’t let it get her down.
The 47-year-old travel advisor has been a full-time carer for her parents for a long time and feels it is finally time to do something for herself. She also recently picked up her teenage hobby of skateboarding, which she says makes her feel “free.”
Could this be a heartwarming winner’s tale like 2025 champion Coco Beeby’s? It is highly possible, especially since Big Brother royalty runs in her blood—Anita is the sister of two-time franchise winner Reggie Bird!
