When it comes to beauty facts and figures, I’m a self-confessed geeks. Give me an interesting statistic—a makeup sponge that has been sold over 50 million times or the best-selling highlighter in the whole of America—and I’m all ears. So, when an email landed in my inbox last week promising to reveal the most popular beauty products on the Internet right now, I couldn’t have opened it any faster. Even better was the fact that it promised to reveal the 10 most popular lipsticks of the year so far—and I’m a sucker when it comes to a great lippie.
So, imagine my surprise, when a bit of digging revealed that the 10 most popular lipsticks right now are (at first glance, anyway) basically all the same shade. Be warned: if you’re a red lipstick lover like me then you might be in for a bit of a shock.
