The 2026 season of Big Brother Australia is officially in motion and has already delivered its first eviction from the new Brisbane Big Brother house in Hemmant. So who has host Mel Tracina sent packing? On November 1, IT salesman Harmon was the first contestant to be sent home after proving a little bit too divisive for the confines of the house. Harmon described himself as someone who “likes to push people’s buttons” during his early interviews, and as anyone who has lived in a share house will attest, that’s not always a good quality at close quarters.

He had stiff competition, though, with some fairly compelling least-popular housemates joining him on the Orwellian reality TV show’s chopping block. Controversial contestant Ebony was on the line following her feud with Kyrah (who was also up for eviction) over housework, which she dismissed as “peasant work.” She called the more cleaning-oriented housemates “hobos” and “peasants,” and it’s actually staggering that she wasn’t booted out the door. Fellow contestant Charity pulled her aside and told her to pull her head in. Kyrah was less, shall we say, charitable and has very much held onto the feud.
There are now only 13 housemates left on Big Brother, and we’ll be keeping track of every contentious eviction. It airs tonight on Channel 10.

Who Was Evicted From Big Brother Australia?
Harmon (Evicted November 1)

Harmon’s time in the house was turbulent from the start. True to his word of pushing buttons, he deliberately hid the house’s supply of coffee and salt to shake up what he saw as a boring dynamic. “They’re just a bit too comfy in there… it’s not school camp!” he later explained to host Mel Tracina. “We’re in there to have a good time, it’s meant to be tough, and it just wasn’t tough.” The stunt severely backfired, resulting in him feeling “almost exiled” and “shunned from the village” by the rest of the cast. Harmon went out with a bang, delivering a savage goodbye message that targeted his fellow contestants before using his exit power to crown Ebony as the next Head of House. Standing by his brutal parting words, he noted: “You can’t just leave going, ‘Oh yeah, you’re all nice. Have a good day.’ … You gotta have a go and you have to get under their skin a bit. Even when I’m gone, they’ll be thinking about me.”
